The idea for the project QuantumVisions dates back to the year 1998, when Stefan Heusler worked as a physicist at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne producing short animation movies dealing with topics in quantum physics.
In the last decades, a visual language has emerged, aiming at haptic and visual models for quantum states. In particular, qubits as simplest possible quantum states play a special role for all visualizations.
The trilogy QuantumVisions consists of the following parts:
- U1 Quantendimensionen (only german version available, 2010)
- U2 QuantumReflections (2018)
- U3 QuantumSymmetries (in production)
In combination, U1xU2xU3 provides models and visualizations for particles and fields of the standard model of particle physics.
